My name is Allan Parungao. I am a highly accomplished Medical Doctor with over 18 years of professional experience in hair transplantation and cosmetic surgery. I obtained my Doctor of Medicine Degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, CA. I have also a Master of Science in Applied Physiology from Finch University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL.My progressive career as a practitioner in cosmetic plastic surgery of the hair, face, and body have allowed me to have an active involvement in leading industry associations. I am the immediate Past President of the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and serve on the Membership Committee of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.I am a firm believer that knowledge should be shared and my passion for education led me to become a Faculty Member at the Live Surgery Workshop on Hair Transplantation where I trained and helped hair restorations surgeons around the globe on the development of trends and innovation that allow us to take care of our patients.I am currently the Assistant National Medical Director of the Bosley Medical Group in Chicago, a transplant center offering a wide variety of surgical and nonsurgical hair restoration options. During my career, I’ve also developed experience reviewing plastic surgery legal cases for both the plaintiff and defendant side. I am able to help the legal community, media, insurance companies or medically oriented startups to review cases, determine medical necessities, help to develop innovations and give an expert opinion on a specific plastic surgery matter.
