What are the risks associated with having a non-doctor perform a hair transplant surgery?

I'm even against the term 'non-doctor hair transplant surgery' even though I have used the same once; That's the exact point where black-market clinics use this term as leverage for their legalization. They are keeping these doctors to say hi & bye and sign the documents. I won't discuss the risks of planning to have a 'surgery' with non-doctors! First of all, this is a surgery and needs to be done by experienced surgeons.
Would you agree to have your rhinoplasty, breast reduction / augmentation, face-lift done by even non-doctors, or would you agree to fly with non-pilot airlines?

What are the factors behind a successful operation?

The recipe for a successful hair transplantation
* A patient with dense donor area having less than 20% telogen hairs.

* Graft coefficient (the mean hair root count of harvested grafts) at least 2; 2.2 or above is advisable; for ex: 1000 grafts x 2.2 hair root = 2200 hairs *beautifully designed undetectable hairline

* At least 40 grafts per cm sq density on frontal hairline and 30 for the rest

* Experienced nurses to place these grafts gently in a sufficient period (you should not push them to hurry up to finish the procedure early to proceed more cases in a day)

* Graft out-of-body time should be less than 3 hours *finally you will need an experienced hair transplant surgeon who has the skill&artistry and who will personally attend the procedures and not booking mass surgeries in a day just for financial reasons.
These are the most critical points

How permanent are the results? Could the patient need a second procedure after a while?

1- The results are permanent & lifelong in andro-genetic hair loss cases, but some other cases could mimic the genetic hair fall; for that reason, you should be sure about the diagnosis before you proceed. For females, your surgeon will decide whether you are a good candidate or not.
2- For androgenetic alopecia, norwood type up to 3 one-session is enough, but the types 3vertex and for other advanced stages 2 and 3 sessions might be needed.

Which patient profile is the right fit for the operation?

For males: anyone
1- Who has good donor

2- Realistic expectations

3- Does not have any severe medical problem. For females: anyone 1-who has good donor (who has less than 20 % telogen hairs)
4- Who does not have female pattern hair loss (genetic hair loss) but looking just for hairline lowering because of congenital (coming from birth) high hairline.

How should a patient choose the right doctor and the clinic?

I won't make it mass; frankly, to say it is so simple:
It's all about to do your homework properly; but be sure that your surgeon:
a- Will attend the surgery personally
b- Has good reputations
c- Does not book mass surgeries
